Wondering, if it is possible to open a school in your house? Yes! You can definitely do that. Starting a school at home is not difficult, but there are some rules that you must follow.
The process of setting up a school starts with the type of school you want to open. There are two different categories of school which you can open at home: first, preschool, playschool, kindergarten, Montessori, play way, pre-nursery or pre-primary school. They all are same. Second, primary school.
The procedure of opening a school is different for different type of school. For instance, if you want to open a preschool for younger children, then ideally you should open it on the ground floor. This is to ensure the safety of children as it is risky for 2 year olds to climb up the stairs. Maids & other staff can take care of children but at the end, they are also human & can make mistakes, also, as the popular saying goes “To Err is Human”. So, at the end of the day it is your responsibility & you can definitely not take risk with safety of children.
If you want to start a primary school or middle school, then one floor building wouldn’t work for you. You will need at least 2nd or 3rd floor. So, if you want to stay in the same building you either have to shift to 4th floor or find a new place for yourself. The general rule for opening a primary school goes like this: “The number of classes that you want to start should be equal the number of rooms that you have”. That is obvious because each class should have one room. Moreover, it is better to check the state rules as every state has different norms for education. So, you must check about the rules with your State Education Department.
